THE PHILIPPINE Normal University signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Abiva Publishing House Inc. to conduct a textbook donation drive.

Project AKLAT or Aklat para sa Kasanayan, Paglikha at Talino is a system-wide implementation of book donation benefitting public schools, students and teachers of Manila and other areas in the country as its beneficiaries.

Abiva chose the university as its partner institution owing to its mandate of promoting and upholding quality education in the country along with the strategic locations of its campuses.

The distribution project began last September and currently ongoing in schools within Manila, Pasig, Laguna, Batangas, Isabela, Ifugao, Negros Occidental, Quezon, Mountain Province, Cadiz City, Northern Samar, and Agusan Del Sur.

During the program, over 80,000 textbooks were already distributed across the country.
