TWELVE faculty members from the Philippine Normal University’s Institute of Teaching and Learning attended the Global Citizenship Education Capacity-Building Training for the Second Cluster of GCED Cooperation Centres at the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding in Seoul, South Korea.

APCEIU Director Dr. Hyun Mook Lim welcomed the delegates and reiterated support for GCED initiatives in the region.

The training from May 22 to 25 included sessions, presentations and visits to schools and universities which provided participants valuable insights and promoted collaboration among them.

PNU said that the training helped its faculty widen their knowledge about GCED.

“The training equipped the PNU faculty members with the necessary skills and understanding to further integrate GCED and transform ITL into a model school,” PNU said in a statement.

The course was completed with a visit to Seoul Munsung Elementary School, where participants observed lessons and learned about the institution’s Global Munsung Education initiative.
