/ 18 April 2022

THE PAMANTASAN ng Lungsod ng Maynila held an orientation on the guidelines for face-to-face classes to ensure the safety of students.

Around 500 students from different colleges joined the online session spearheaded by the Office of the Student and Development Services.

“We are doing our best to ensure the safety of the students returning to in-campus classes,” PLM Senior Vice President Clydelle Rondalis said.

She said that school officials, professors and students have to cooperate and work together for the smooth transition to face-to-face classes.

“We have a long and difficult work ahead of us, and we ask for your full cooperation in enacting these policies,” Rondalis added.

In her opening message, PLM Executive Vice President Maria Auxilliadora Libertine Chavez-Amor acknowledged the difficulties and challenges students had to face in attending online or remote classes.

“Education is a shared responsibility between the student, the parents and the school. It is the responsibility of the students to study and learn; parents are responsible to provide all the support that they can give to their children in terms of their studies; and as an institution of learning, it is our responsibility to provide quality education to all our students and ensure that it is provided in a safe and conducive environment,” Amor said.
