PLM TO CONDUCT 3 MODES OF LEARNING

/ 16 August 2022

The PAMANTASAN ng Lungsod ng Maynila on Monday announced that it will conduct three modes of classes for Academic Year 2022-2023.

These are face-to-face, online and blended.

“This applies to all undergraduate and graduate classes and academic activities. Student activities may be conducted in campus, subject to the usual approval of process,” the university said.

Classes in general and graduate courses will be conducted online.

Meanwhile, laboratory and Physical Education classes will be held remotely and physically.

Major exams, thesis/dissertation defense and comprehensive exam will be held in-person.

For a three-unit subject, blended learning will be 1.5 hours onsite and 1.5 hours online per week.

The Commission on Higher Education earlier said that it will not require all colleges and universities to shift to full face-to-face classes for this year.

“We cannot require all schools to do face-to-face because there are schools that have been doing distance learning and flexible learning even before the pandemic,” CHED Chairman Prospero De Vera III said.
