PLM STUDENTS WIN BEST PAPER IN INT’L CONFERENCE ON INFORMATION TECH EDUCATION

COMPUTER Science students of the Pamatansan ng Lungsod ng Maynila won an award during the International Research Conference on Information Technology Education 2024.

Patricia Nicole Trajano, Ayra Shane Villacarlos, Mark Chirstopher Blanco, Jamillah Guialil, Gabriel Hill, Leisyl Mahusay and Jonathan Morano received a Certificate of Recognition – Best Paper (C.S. Track).

They were lauded for their paper presentation titled “An Enhanced Hartigan-Wong Algorithm Applied for Determining the Crime Rates Per Area in the Philippines.”

“Congratulations to the PLM Computer Science Department of the College of Information Systems and Technology Management Team!” PLM wrote on Facebook.

The conference was held on Friday at the Wesleyan University Philippines in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.

This year’s theme was “Breaking Barriers and Empowering Change through Global Innovation, Knowledge Engineering, and Diversity-Centered Research.”
