PLM FACULTY MEMBERS JOIN MEDICAL CARAVAN

/ 24 January 2023

FACULTY members of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila joined the medical services caravan offered by the Office of Manila Vice Mayor Yul Servo Nieto over the weekend.

Nieto’s office mounted a big medical mission event for Barangay 537 in Sampaloc last January 21 under the Asenso Manileño program of the city government.

PLM College of Nursing professors Ernesto Mania, Eric Villa, Francis Mercado, Jennifer Mansing, Jennifer Reyes, Benjamin Tablizo, Jr., Alberto Dimasuay, Leizel Pandi and David Paul Ramos provided medical services to over 1,300 Manila residents for free.

“We are grateful to our medical professionals who selflessly devote their time and efforts to serve Manileños directly through these medical missions,” PLM President Emmanuel Leyco said.

“Truly, they embody PLM’s commitment to pursue public interest and fulfill our social responsibility,” he added.

Councilors DJ Bagatsing and Lady Quintos also graced the event.

The collaboration is a continuing engagement between PLM and the city government through the Office of the Vice Mayor that began in December 2022.
