PLM DEFERS OPENING OF CLASSES TO OCTOBER 5

/ 30 August 2020

THE PAMANTASANG Lungsod ng Maynila announced that it will defer its opening of classes to October 5, after its top officials met to discuss the matter.

PLM originally set the beginning of classes on September 3 but its Board of Regents noted the need for an additional month to properly kick off the upcoming school year.

Earlier, the Manila-based school shut down the said move, which was being pushed by its Supreme Student Council weeks back.

PLM said it is now ramping up preparations to properly implement its blended learning scheme.

“We are ramping up our preparations for the opening of PLM’s virtual campus. Remote learning is new to the University but rest assured that we are doing our best to make the experience as smooth and engaging as possible for our dear students. We are also finalizing our blended learning protocols to ensure that no student will be left behind under our ‘new normal’ setup,” PLM President Emmanuel Leyco said, as posted on the school’s Facebook page.

However, PLM’s College of Law and Medicine will not be included in the deferment of the schedule and will begin classes on September 3.
