PLM DECLARES ACADEMIC BREAK
THE PAMANTASAN ng Lungsod ng Maynila suspended classes from March 29 to April 4 as the National Capital Region was again placed under enhanced community quarantine amid surging Covid19 infections.
University President Emmanuel Leyco on Sunday declared an academic break.
“All students, faculty and staff, except those assigned as part of the skeleton workforce are encouraged to stay at home during this period,” he said.
The university will adopt a skeleton workforce for the week and will require all other staff to work from home.
Those who will continue to physically report to work must strictly observe health protocols.
“We understand the need to cope with the economic dislocation and psycho-social impact brought about by this new wave of ECQ, so we are giving our students, faculty and staff some respite,” Leyco said.
“We also extend our prayers to members of our community and their relatives afflicted with Covid19 for their speedy recovery,” he added.
On-campus public transactions shall be suspended until further notice.
The university will continue to accept and process online applications and other transactions.
