PLM CONTINUES ASYNCHRONOUS CLASSES

/ 3 May 2021

TO LIGHTEN the load of its students and faculty members, the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila will continue to hold asynchronous classes during the extension of the modified community quarantine in the National Capital Region and neighboring provinces.

PLM President Emmanuel Leyco said that the university recognizes the challenges of the students amid pandemic.

“The University recognizes the many challenges which students, faculty, and staff members are facing as the NCR Plus bubble remains under restricted movement. May the latest adjustments lighten the load as we navigate the new normal for the semester,” Leyco said.

Under the asynchronous mode, students will learn through uploaded videos and lecture materials of their professors.

Faculty members, however, may conduct synchronous classes but must first seek approval from the Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Students, meanwhile, will not be required to attend the synchronous classes and sessions on Microsoft Teams.

Make-up activities shall also be given to students who will miss a graded activity during the synchronous session.
