PLM CONGRATULATES COLLEGE OF LAW FACULTY APPOINTED IN GOV’T POSTS
THE PAMANTASAN ng Lungsod ng Maynila took pride in the appointment of three current and former members of the College of Law faculty to prime government posts.
President Rodrigo Duterte appointed Judge Emily L. San Gaspar-Gito as associate justice of the Court of Appeals, replacing retired Justice Franchito Diamante.
San Gaspar-Gito was the presiding judge of the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 5 and counts over two decades of service in the judiciary.
Justice San Gaspar-Gito was given the Don Antonio P. Madrigal award for judicial excellence in 2012.
Meanwhile, former faculty regent and College of Law dean George Erwin Garcia was appointed as commissioner at the Commission on Elections.
Garcia is a veteran election lawyer, having taken on electoral cases of various national and local candidates.
The PLM also congratulated Judge Joeven Dellosa, who was appointed to the Mandaluyong City Regional Trial Court Branch 208. He used to be a judge at the Municipal Trial Court in Cities in Pampanga.
