/ 28 March 2021

THE PAMANTASAN ng Lungsod ng Maynila confirmed seven active cases were registered within the school community out of the 30 who tested positive for Covid19 since March 2020.

University Health Service chief Dr. Maria Ana Mariano clarified during the school general assembly that contact tracing data did not show they caught the virus within the campus grounds.

PLM conducted the general assembly to update its faculty and staff members regarding Covid19 health protocols and cases within the community.

More than 400 participants attended the event with a select number of employees attending the assembly in an open-air venue within campus as members of the PLM Covid19 Task Force presented the latest set of rules concerning infection control.

Mariano also reiterated the university’s health protocols seek to prevent the transmission of the disease.

Among the safeguards implemented are regular disinfections and rotational and skeletal deployment.

People experiencing flu-like symptoms are told not to report to physical work.

“The health protocols, health declarations, face masks and face shields -– these are our protection,” Mariano added.
