PLM COLLEGE OF LAW STUDENT COUNCIL GIVEN RECOGNITION

/ 13 June 2021

FOR displaying leadership during the pandemic, the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila’s College of Law Student Council was recognized by the Association of Law Students of the Philippines during its 31st National Convention.

The group was named one of the Top Student Councils.

The officers and members of the council  led by its president Diane Kimberly Mapoy were acknowledged for their “outstanding leadership to law students” and their “selfless dedication” in serving fellow aspiring lawyers.

The CLSC thanked the ALSP for the commendation and acknowledged the guidance provided by Atty. Roselle SJ. Sarino and Dean George Erwin Garcia.

PLM President Emmanuel Leyco congratulated the team, saying that despite the health crisis, the CLSC officers managed to “uphold the welfare of fellow students.”

“It has been a difficult academic year for students as the local Covid19 outbreak began, forcing schools into a new normal of distance learning to adhere to quarantine protocols. Still, the officials of PLM CLSC managed to uphold the welfare of fellow students while keeping up with their own academic load,” Leyco said.

He called on the council officers to “sustain excellence and serve the public interest as you become full-fledged lawyers.”
