PISAY WESTERN VISAYAS STUDENT BAGS GRAND PRIZE IN INT’L SHORT STORY WRITING TILT

FOR winning the grand prize in the senior category of GEMA International Short Story Writing Competition, a student from the Philippine Science High School Western Visayas Campus will get published and her work will be read in 150 countries.

FOR winning the grand prize in the senior category of GEMA International Short Story Writing Competition, a student from the Philippine Science High School Western Visayas Campus will get published and her work will be read in 150 countries.

Lena Cleofe Maniba bested students from other countries including 6,000 participants from 150 schools across the Middle East.

The competition is an annual event for young writers. The Top 20 entries get published in Children Story Book, both as paperback and eBook. The book will be sold in over 30,000 stores across 150 countries and popular E-commerce stores like Amazon.

The PSHS System commended Maniba for her achievement.

“Kudos Pisay-Iloilo Scholar. We are proud of you!” it said.

GEMA is an online educational platform that seeks to quench the thirst of curious young minds through interactive classes and creative methods.

It offers academic courses, but also provides hobby classes taught by experts who are passionate in their field.
