PISAY STUDENTS WIN BIG IN COPERNICUS OLYMPIAD

STUDENTS from the Philippine Science High School System Southern Mindanao Campus won several awards in the Copernicus Physics and Astronomy Olympiad Global Round held recently at Rice University in Houston Texas, USA.

STUDENTS from the Philippine Science High School System Southern Mindanao Campus won several awards in the Copernicus Physics and Astronomy Olympiad Global Round held recently at Rice University in Houston Texas, USA.

Elijah Manuel Lagat and Eri Lian Estabillo clinched the gold medal after besting other participants from different schools across the globe.

Lagat and Estabilla were the overall top 1 and 2 in the competition, respectively.

Meanwhile, Yeis Had Madeit Doctolero secured the silver medal.

The learners were mentored by Levine Poralan, who served as their coach.

Copernicus Olympiad was established in 2020 by passionate educators with international experience in education.

It aims to provide first-class competitions for students worldwide that ignite and nourish a passion for learning while inspiring the thinkers of tomorrow.

Currently, the Olympiad offers the following disciplines—Natural Science Olympiad, Film Festival, Copernicus Entrepreneurship Olympiad, and Mathematics Olympiad.

All students from 3rd grade to 12th grade can participate in the disciplines. The Olympiad has contestants from 49 countries.
