STUDENTS from the Philippine Science High School emerged victorious in the Asian Schools Debating Championship held earlier this month.

The PSHS said the contingents are from Invictus, a speech and debate club.

Declared as Novice Champions were Gwen Valimento, Neil De Jesus, and Veronica Guinto. Valimento also won the Novice Finals Best Speaker.

David Mencias was ranked 5th Best Novice Speaker, while Ram Mayo and Hugh Mejos placed 9th Best Novice Speaker in the open quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, included in the Novice quarterfinals were Jerd Carlos, Hanz Arnaldo, Neomi Mendoza, Reign Peña, Kyle Ramos and Matthew Serna.

ASDC is an English debate competition that is held online for students from all over Asia in a 3-on-3 Asian Parliamentary format. It is participated by students aged 11 to 19.
