PISAY MAIN CAMPUS HOSTS JAPANESE DELEGATES FOR GLOBAL PEACE PROGRAM
THE Philippine Science High School Main Campus has once again welcomed Japanese delegates for the Future Leaders’ Program for Global Peace in Hiroshima.
The program is an international cultural exchange program that aims to provide a meaningful interaction among participants as they exchange opinions on international peace and issues that affect the youth.
The delegates from the Hiroshima Prefecture and PSHS-MC scholars engaged in various educational activities.
These include cultural exchange and presentation; a peace study tour in Intramuros; and an educational discussion where participants exchanged ideas on contemporary issues that were anchored on Sustainable Development Goals, such as education, poverty, politics, and disaster management.
PSHS-MC affirmed its partnership with Hiroshima for global peace through the ongoing seventh iteration of the international exchange program.
“This is the first time that the program reverted to its usual F2F activity after two years of being conducted online due to the restrictions brought upon by the pandemic,” it said.
“Through its Leadership and Exchange Programs Committee, PSHS-MC continues to lead and facilitate international exchange programs that are meant to provide diverse opportunities for its PSHS scholars to further develop their leadership skills, cultural awareness and appreciation, and global citizenship,” it added.
