AN ALUMNA of the Philippine Science High School Central Luzon campus is the recipient of the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, a grant funded by the European Union consortium.

Charisma Zabala is currently taking up International Master in Smart Systems Integrated Solutions.

The program focuses on Smart Systems to create autonomous and intelligent systems.

“In particular, she learns about microsystems and how they combine data processing with multi-modal sensing, actuation, and communication functions,” PSHS said.

“Also, she gets familiarized with design aspects that reflect on socio-economic challenges such as sustainable electronics design, life-cycle analysis, and design for reliability,” it added.

The Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters is held in different higher education institutions across Europe such as Alto University in Finland, University of South-Eastern Norway, and Budapest University of Technology in Hungary.
