PANGASINAN STATE U SUPPORTS WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
IN SUPPORT of women empowerment, the Pangasinan State University kicked off the celebration of Women’s Month by holding a ceremony themed “We are for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society.”
The event, spearheaded by the Gender and Development Office, was held at the PSU Golden Lion Hotel last March 1.
University President Dr. Elbert Galas acknowledged the contributions of women and pledged the school’s commitment to build a culture of inclusivity and equality.
“Through this Women’s Month Celebration, we are hopeful that we shall normalize treating men and women equally, promoting gender equality, eliminating existing gender inequalities and re-defining women’s gender roles and relations when these pose constraints to achieving equitable outcomes,” Galas said.
Vice President Dr. Razealle G. Resultay and Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs Dr. Manolito Manuel also recognized the contributions of women and called for the empowerment of women.
