PANGASINAN STATE U EARNS MULTIPLE AWARDS IN COHREP SKILLS COMPETITION
THE PANGASINAN State University-Alaminos City campus bagged multiple awards during the 2022 National Skills Competition.
With the theme ‘COHREP SKILLS OF THE FUTURE: Upholding Excellence in Hospitality and Tourism’, the event was organized by the Council of Hotel and Restaurant Educators of the Philippines and held at the Systems Plus College Foundation and Jocson College from December 1-2.
The COHREP started a number of initiatives to improve students’ proficiency in the fields of tourism, hospitality, and culinary arts.
In both group and individual competitions, PSU-ACC students from BS Hospitality Management and BS Tourism Management programs excelled and won awards.
BS Tourism Management students Frederick Orcine and Adrielle Ann Penor won gold in tour packaging in Tourism Skills Cup, while Jovelle Dhen Candido and Kristine Chaye Villanueva got bronze in Flight Attendant Showmanship.
Moreover, HM studeng Lyndon Arquero won gold in Floral Centerpiece in Hospitality Skills Cup; Sarieboy Caboteja clinched silver in Talking Bartender and Warren Salvatiera bronze in Fruit Carving.
The university said with steadfast training and mentorship from esteemed faculty members, the team emerged as the overall champion in the Hospitality Skills Cup.
