PANGASINAN LIFTS PERSONAN NON GRATA RESOLUTION ON PSU PRESIDENT

/ 21 July 2022

THE SANGGUNIANG Panlalawigan of Pangasinan recalled its order declaring Pangasinan State University President  Dr. Dexter R. Buted persona non grata after six years.

Majority Floor Leader Sheila Marie Baniqued said that the move aims to foster a more harmonious relationship between PSU and the province.

Buted is set to make a courtesy call and present his programs and accomplishments to the SPP.

Buted was slapped with “persona non grata” resolution for his alleged disrespect of the SPP’s inquiry on the mishaps of the university’s On-the-Job Training program in 2016.

Vice Governor Mark Ronald Lambino said that the lifting of the measure is justice for Buted.

“Actions speak louder than words. The leadership of Dr. Buted has shown that the allegations were practically baseless. Cases filed were dismissed and at the end of the day our justice system prevailed and showed the academic community what happened,” Lambino said.
