PALAWAN STATE U SUSPENDS SYNCHRONOUS CLASSES

/ 16 October 2021

THE PALAWAN State University has suspended its synchronous classes in consideration of those who were affected by the onslaught of Storm Maring.

Classes will be suspended until October 17.

The deadlines for class requirements including modules will  be moved too, PSU said.

The university said that special considerations should be given to students who were unable to report to class or participate in scheduled synchronous and asynchronous activities because of the inclement weather.

“Faculty members are directed to practice flexibility and compassion during these times considering that many of our students reside in or came from areas that had more severe weather conditions which caused power outages, floods, road cuts, among other issues, impairing their capacity to participate in both synchronous and asynchronous online activities or comply with the course requirements,” it added.

Make-up classes may later be conducted.

‘Maring’ affected thousands of individuals in the province.
