PALAWAN STATE U AWARDS CASH INCENTIVES TO BOARD, BAR TOPNOTCHERS

/ 13 November 2020

THE PALAWAN State University commended two of its alumnae for making it to the Top 10 in the Bar and Psychometrician Board Examinations.

Attorney Jocelyn Fabello placed 5th in the 2019 Bar Exams while Diana Jane Badua ranked 6th in the 2019 Psychometrician Board Examinations.

They each received cash amounting to P60,000 and P40,000, respectively.

A ceremony was held at the university’s hostel last November 9, 2020 to honor the two women.

PSU President Dr. Ramon Docto proudly celebrated the success of the duo.

“Their triumph will always be remembered and will remain an inspiration not just to the students of PSU but to all the students of Palawan,” he said.

Fabello said the university is one of the best law schools in the country.

Meanwhile, Badua stressed the importance of pursuing one’s dreams.

“If you are too busy watching others achieve their dreams, you will not have much time to plan yours. Stick to your great plan, challenge yourself, and keep your faith,” she said.

The incentive program was sponsored by the University Student Government. Student Regent Mr. Elijah Daniel Geanga proposed the granting of cash incentives to PSU students who will get high rankings in the Bar and board exams.

“This is also an initiative to encourage students to perform well in their academic aspirations if they wanted to have the same award as well,” the university said.
