OVER 1.4K NORSU STUDENTS RECEIVE SUBSIDY
MORE than 1,400 students of the Negros Oriental State University received their Tertiary Education Subsidy for Academic Year 2020-2021.
The TES, under the Unified Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education Program, was given to 115 students from the NORSU-Bais City campus I and 230 students from campus II.
Subsidies were also given to 184 learners from the Bayawan-Sta. Catalina campus, 190 in Guihulngan campus, 150 in Mabinay campus, 145 in Siaton campus and 390 from Dumaguete campuses I and II.
UniFAST and the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office 7 collaborated to provide TES to 39 state universities and colleges and local universities and colleges in Central Visayas, with a total of 11,466 student grantees.
The two institutions also signed a memorandum of agreement for the execution of the program.
The TES is a government-funded grant-in-aid program that selects competent TES grantees from public universities and colleges, as well as private higher education institutions.
