ORGANIZERS CANCEL LIBRARY PANTRY
Organizers have cancelled the university library pantry set up by well-meaning individuals from the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines.
A representative informed The POST on Sunday that the decision was reached after considering the Covid19 situation in the country.
They said that the initiative was cancelled to comply with minimum health standards to help curb the spread of the coronavirus.
The pantry aimed to assist students in need. It offered reading materials, ballpens, fasteners, paper clips, bond papers, and colored Carolinas.
The organizers said they thought of coming up with a library pantry because it is also important to feed the mind.
