NUEVA VIZCAYA STATE U TO FACULTY: GET BOOSTER SHOTS

/ 12 January 2022

THE NUEVA Vizcaya State University urged its employees to get booster shots to protect them better amid the spike in Covid19 infections.

NVSU said that a third dose will help enhance a person’s immunity against the virus.

“This is to enhance your immunity against the virus [especially] that the Omicron variant is rapidly transmitting,” NVSU Medical Officer Dr. Kristian Danielle Pascual-Fernandez said in an advisory.

According to health experts, a booster shot helps protect against the virus as initial doses eventually wane due to the emergence of variants.

Employees who will get booster shots may be excused from work.

Government officials have urged unvaccinated individuals to get protective shots amid soaring infections.
