NUEVA VIZCAYA STATE U ORDERS TEMPORARY TWO-WEEK LOCKDOWN DUE TO RISE IN COVID CASES
THE NUEVA Vizcaya State University ordered a temporary lockdown of its Bayombong campus for two weeks.
In a memorandum published over the weekend, the school said the decision was made due to the rising cases of Covid19 among its workforce.
It was also in line with the recommendation of the NVSU Task Force against Covid19 during its emergency meeting last Wednesday.
The lockdown is from October 11 to 24.
Employees will be mandated to work in a work-from-home scheme.
NVSU initially suspended the bidding activity of its services on campus due to rising infection rates among employees.
As of Saturday, the municipality of Bayombong has a total of 2,535 cases of Covid19, 275 of which are active, Philippine Information Agency Nueva Vizcaya said.
