NUEVA VIZCAYA STATE U HOLDS TRAINING FOR CAVE TOUR GUIDES
TO PREPARE for the reopening of the tourism industry in the province, the Nueva Vizcaya State University conducted a two-day training for cave tour guides.
Dr. Jayson Caranza of the university’s College of Forestry, Environment and Resources Management said a group of tour guides joined the training on Basic Cave Mapping and Plant Identification.
Members of the Capisaan Cave and Tour Guiding Association in Barangay Capisaan, Kasibu, obtained knowledge and abilities in spelunking, he added.
Caranza said that the training aimed to prepare cave guides for the reopening of the Capisaan Cave.
“We are expecting that there will be an influx of visitors to Capisaan Cave once the restrictions are finally lifted and with the new knowledge and skills gained from the training, we hope that the cave guides can serve the visitors better,” he said.
