THE NORTHEASTERN Mindanao Colleges will implement an academic break to preserve the mental health of its students and teachers.

The academic break of the Surigao del Norte-based school will be on December 2 to 7, 2020.

“To promote sound mental health and wellness to all our stakeholders, NEMCO hereby declares mental health break/ academic break from December 2, 2020 to December 7, 2020,” NEMCO said on Facebook.

“BREAK MUNA TAYO! During this period online synchronous classes and any forms of class activities are temporarily suspended,” it added.

Classes will resume on December 8, the school said.

Students welcomed the announcement and thanked the school for showing compassion.
