NO NET? NO WORRIES FOR PUP STUDENTS UNDER FLEXTEL

/ 1 August 2020

AMID calls for an academic freeze and mass testing to ensure a safe school opening, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines announced that its classes will start on September 14, 2020.

According to PUP, the date was approved by the Office of the University Registrar and will give students and professors a four-day adjustment period to enable them to adapt to flexible learning schemes.

PUP’s new learning scheme, called the Flexible Technology – Enhanced Learning (FlexTEL), will enable students to choose their mode of learning upon enrolment depending on their resources.

“This includes maximization of different platforms not limited to online mechanisms and delivery of modules to students who do not have access to internet,” PUP explained as it stressed that its FlexTel aims to reach a wider number of students with limited digital resources.

The second semester will start on February 4, 2021 and will end on June 7, 2021.
