NEW SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES SADDEN PUP STUDENTS

/ 13 January 2022

STUDENTS of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines were saddened by the revised guidelines on scholarship programs.

The Scholarship and Financial Assistance Services in PUP Manila announced on Facebook that only 10 percent of approved President’s Listers will receive compensation of P1,000.

The rest, including Dean’s Listers and College scholars, will get a certification signed by the University President.

The new policy was approved during the meeting of the Board of Regents on June 26, 2020, the SFAS said.

The students lamented that they have to struggle to receive a “measly” compensation for their academic achievements.

Nakakabwisit kasi,” another said.
