THE UNIVERSITY of Cagayan Valley announced motor vehicles with mufflers will be barred from entering its premises.

UCV said motor vehicles with mufflers and those blowing their horns will be coordinated with authorities.

The university said banning these features is in line with city ordinance No. 058-2017 and the Comprehensive Environmental Management Code of the Philippines.

These policies deal with environmental protection in connection with respect to air and noise pollution.

First offenders will be warned while second and third will be met with penalties from the provincial government.

Repeat offenders will also be banned from entering the school.
