MSU-IIT STUDENTS WIN AWARDS IN INT’L ECONOMICS RESEARCH AND OLYMPIAD
STUDENTS from the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology won two awards in the 11th Himie Economics Research and Olympiad International Call for Papers.
Irah Marie Mananggit, Cynnah Grace Balmadres, Laurence Adrian Camayudo, and Dianne Mae Bariso bagged the Best Subtheme and Presenter for International, Regional, and Development Economics (Political Economy) Award.
They were recognized for their work titled “Factors Affecting Regional Voter Turnout in the Philippines: A Macro Perspective.”
Meanwhile, April Joy Saranillo, Hope Niez, Nest Nadine Sala-ug and Rogena Catanduanes placed second in the Best Subtheme and Presenter (Green and Blue Economy) Award for their paper on “Macroeconomic Factors Affecting Renewable Energy Consumption: World Evidence.”
The students are from the College of Economics, Business and Accountancy.
Organized by the Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, the event was held in Indonesia from June 8 to 9, 2023.
