MSU-IIT RETAINS SPOT IN 2026 TIMES HIGHER EDUCATION WORLD RANKINGS
THE MINDANAO State University–Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) has reaffirmed its standing as one of the Philippines’ world-class universities after earning a place in the 2026 Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
MSU-IIT joins Ateneo de Manila University, the University of the Philippines, the University of Santo Tomas, De La Salle University, and Mapúa University on the list of top-ranked Philippine institutions.
The global ranking evaluates universities based on five key indicators: Teaching (29.5%), Research Environment (29%), Research Quality (30%), Industry (4%), and International Outlook (7.5%).
MSU-IIT achieved its highest scores in International Outlook, reflecting growth in international collaborations, foreign faculty, and international student enrollment.
The university also recorded significant improvements in Teaching metrics, including doctoral-to-undergraduate ratios, faculty-to-student ratios, and teaching reputation scores.
In addition, MSU-IIT posted gains in research productivity, excellence, and industry partnerships, reinforcing its role as a rising hub of innovation and academic excellence in the Philippines.
