MSU-IIT PROF RECIPIENT OF JAPAN FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
A PROFESSOR from the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology was named recipient of the prestigious fellowship by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.
Through the JSPS BRIDGE Fellowship Program for FY 2024, Dr. Hernando P. Bacosa will be partnering with Professor INOUE Chihiro from Tohoku University.
Bacosa will commence his fellowship in Japan from July 1, 2024, through March 31, 2025.
“It is worth noting that only two fellows from the Philippines are chosen each year for this prestigious program, and Dr. Bacosa is one of the fortunate recipients,” MSU-IIT said.
“On April 5, 2024, Dr. Bacosa received the award letter and a certificate of financial support from Mr. SUGINO Tsuyoshi, President of JSPS,” it added.
The JSPS BRIDGE Fellowship Program for FY 2024 aims to strengthen the network between researchers from different countries and Japan for 30 consecutive days, working alongside a Japanese host researcher.
The JSPS is an esteemed independent administrative institution established to support the advancement of science in various fields, encompassing natural and social sciences, as well as the humanities.
