MSU-IIT PROF PRESENTS PAPER AT INT’L CONFERENCE IN THAILAND
A FACULTY member of the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology presented her research paper at the recently concluded Pure and Applied Chemistry International Conference held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Dr. Mylene Uy, professor at MSU-IIT Chemistry Department and Executive Director of the Premier Research Institute of Science and Mathematics, discussed the paper titled “Southern Mindanao as a Rich Source of Natural Products.”
Aside from being an invited speaker, Uy also served as a member of the Scientific Committee and a Poster Judge in the Natural Products, Biological Chemistry, and Chemical Biology session.
Themed “Chemistry for Bio-Circular-Green Economy,” PACCON 2024 is under the initiative of the Chemical Society of Thailand and was co-organized by Kasetsart University.
The conference served as a platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and groundbreaking discoveries of some of the brightest minds in the field of chemistry.
Throughout the event, the latest advancements, research findings, and practical applications in various branches of chemistry, i.e., from organic chemistry to materials, from analytical chemistry to biochemistry, among others were explored.
It was attended by a community of more than 900 chemists, researchers, academics, and industry professionals from 26 countries.
