THE Mariano Marcos State University and the Department of Education office in Ilocos Norte joined forces to boost digital learning in the province.

A five-year memorandum of understanding was signed by MMSU President Shirley Agrupis and DepEd Ilocos Norte Schools Division Superintendent Donato D. Balderas, Jr.

Under the agreement, the two institutions will collaborate on research projects toward the development, deployment, and evaluation of systems for instructional use and digital transformation.

They will also conduct capacity building initiatives and on-the-job training of students, share learning resources and provide technical consultancy.

Agrupis believed that the partnership “will lead to a more inclusive and technologically-advanced education system in the province.”

Balderas, meanwhile, emphasized that the partnership “will be rewarding and sustainable.”
