ACCOUNTANCY students of the Mariano Marcos State University won in the Business Accounting Networking and Knowledge Summit Accounting Quiz Bowl Summit.

Eric Charles Montoya secured first place, while John Kenneth Parungao clinched the second spot. The contest covered all subjects under the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination.

They bested 22 other contenders from higher education institutions in the Ilocos region.

Kenneth Gudoy, along with faculty members of the accountancy department, mentored the students.

Themed “Digital Transformation: A Pathway for Resilient, Innovative, Sustainable, and Excellent Business Education Programs,” the two-day summit was hosted by the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office 1.

It involved learning sessions on artificial intelligence, digital finance and business resilience and sustainability.

BANKS 2023 was conducted in partnership with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Trade and Industry and REO CPA Review Center.
