MMSU STUDENTS BAG AWARDS IN APEC ENTREPRENEURSHIP EDUCATION PROGRAM
STUDENTS of the Mariano Marcos State University won in the recently concluded Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Entrepreneurship Education Program.
Secondary Education major in English students Jan Donyl Suguitan, Hershey Sumalde, Jerlyn Nolasco, Erin Raquino, Beverly Ranes, and Josanne Pascual comprised the winning groups in the AEEP’s social business planning activity.
Among the awards they received are the Excellence Award for Colorful and Cheerful Entrepreneurs (second place); Outstanding Award for Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Entrepreneurs (third place); Judges Award for Entrepreneurs Aiming for Self-Development and Personal Growth; Notable Award (Warm-Hearted, Empathetical Entrepreneurs); and Achievement Award (Caring Entrepreneurs for the Future).
The CTE students were mentored by Mico Sacramed.
They were among the 35 participants from APEC member-economies who underwent training on business analysis, planning, and communication skills.
The AEEP is organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea and the Institute of APEC Collaborative Education.
It is a week-long capacity-building program designed exclusively for tertiary students to enhance their understanding of APEC, knowledge about social entrepreneurship, and individual competencies and skills for employability.
