MMSU LINKS WITH INDONESIAN UNIVERSITY FOR ACADEMIC EXCHANGE PROGRAM
MARIANO Marcos State University conducted a virtual academic exchange program with Universitas PGRI Madiun in Indonesia in a bid to further expand faculty and student mobility.
“Faculty members from MMSU College of Business, Economics, and Accountancy, and the UNIPMA implemented a lecture series on strategic management, business ethics, corporate governance, and social responsibility from March 26 to May 6,” the university said.
“Lecturers from MMSU were Dr. Analyn A. Hermoso, Dr. Margarita G. Hilario, Prof. Carmela G. Adriatico, and Ms. Krismary Sharmaine D. Yapo. Meanwhile, lecturers from UNIPMA Economics and Management Department were Dr. Aglis Andhita Hatmawan, Prof. Karuniawati Hasana, Prof. Prima Utama Wardoyo Putro, and Prof. Putri Oktovita Sari,” it added.
The university said a total of 116 students from MMSU and 84 from UNIPMA participated in the six-week lecture series.
CBEA dean Dr. Angelina Abrojena said the lecture series enabled the faculty and students to broaden their business management competencies and cross-cultural understanding.
She added the college will also avail the international credit transfer program by next semester to improve its curriculum and to sustain students’ program mobility.
On the other hand, Dr. Mee Jay Domingo, director for MMSU external linkages and partnerships, said the exchange program seeks to share faculty’s expertise with foreign universities, gain new knowledge and practices, and continue to build stature in the global academic scene.
Since last year, MMSU said it has participated in international academic exchange programs with foreign universities amid the Covid19 pandemic.
