MMSU: HOLDING OF F2F CLASSES A SUCCESS

/ 9 February 2022

THE RESUMPTION of face-to-face classes at the Mariano Marcos State University after almost two years of distance learning was a success, its vice president for academic affairs,  Dr. Prima Fe Franco, said.

Franco said that around 6,000 learners attended physical classes.

The university, he added, was fully prepared for the limited in-person classes by complying with the requirements imposed by the Commission on Higher Education, Department of Health, and local government units.

“You’re in good hands. Let’s embrace it for the sake of quality education,” the official stressed.

Learners joining F2F classes were required to present a vaccination card indicating that they are fully inoculated, a notarized parents’ waiver, a medical certificate issued by a government physician, and a registration with the PhilHealth insurance to cover medical expenses related to Covid19.

Undergraduate learners will attend their F2F classes by rotation while graduate school students shall have their sessions every other Saturday.

Meanwhile, MMSU President Dr. Shirley Agrupis said the students, faculty, and staff of MMSU achieved a high percentage of Covid19 vaccination of 99.06 percent.

Agrupis added they have prepared “more than enough” to welcome back the students to school.

“It is another time wherein our resilience and adaptability to the present situation will be tested again,” she said.

“There’s no need for you to go elsewhere as you are like our children. We will take good care of you,” she added.
