THE MARIANO Marcos State University will have more academic engagements with Beijing Phihua International Education Technology, Co. Ltd. after officials of both institutions agreed to expand their partnership.

According to the university, both parties met last November 23 led by MMSU President Shirley Agrupis and Phihua President Mei Yakun in relation to the expansion of its academic and research partnership.

Yakun vowed to help MMSU advance its health sciences and medicine programs and push for the establishment of a Chinese Vocational Center in the university.

He said they will also usher MMSU officials for benchmarking activities in China and to improve the MMSU Chinese corner.

“Moreover, the two institutions tackled the potential offering of micro-credential programs on Chinese acupuncture, smart agriculture, e-commerce, and civil engineering through shadowing program, where learners are guided in real time work exposure,” MMSU said.

“Argupis and College of Health Sciences-OIC dean Ryan Dean Sucgang also offered shadowing program in health sciences to Phihua,” it added.

Last September 5, MMSU and Phihua virtually signed a memorandum of understanding along with Guangxi Medical College.
