MIRIAM COLLEGE ALUMNA TO RECEIVE MASTER’S DEGREE IN CANADA

AN ALUMNA of Miriam College will receive her master’s degree in special education at Vancouver Island University in British Columbia, Canada.

Margaux Jeunne Cadenas completed her thesis titled “The Responses and Attitudes of Elementary School Administrators to the Vulnerable Nature of Students with Disabilities in Inclusive School Settings.”

She will graduate from the program in June this year.

“In 2021, she was accepted into the master’s of SPED program at Vancouver Island University. Her journey was not easy as she lives in a different province from her family and she also worked as a Behavior Interventionist while studying,” Miriam College said.

“Cadenas was a Dean’s Lister and a candidate for Valedictorian of her Faculty at VIU. In May, she will begin her first full time job in Victoria, British Columbia,” it added.

Cadenas graduated with a bachelor’s degree in child development and education minor in special education at Miriam College in 2019. She also worked as a preschool teacher at Nazareth Christian School of Antipolo.
