THE MINES and Geosciences Bureau opened its doors to University of Southeastern Philippines Geology graduates, granting them access to its extensive rock and mineral collection as they prepare for the Geologists Licensure Examination.

The test will be held in November 2023.

For the geology graduates, the collaboration provides an unparalleled opportunity to bridge the gap between theory and practice.

“Engaging with actual rock specimens and minerals goes beyond textbooks and lectures, offering a tangible connection to the Earth’s history and processes,” the University said in its post.

The partnership between USeP’s geology program and MGB XI exemplifies the synergy that can be achieved between academic institutions and government agencies, it added.

USeP said that the interchange of knowledge and resources guarantees that the next generation of geologists is well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to the exploration and management of the Earth’s geological resources.
