MINDANAO STATE U WELCOMES INTERN STUDENTS
MINDANAO State University will play host to senior high school students from the Philippine Integrated School Foundation, Inc. who will undergo a work immersion program.
MSU expects the students to gain valuable experience from their 80-hour work immersion at the university library.
They will work alongside seasoned professionals and receive first-hand experience with a variety of library tasks, including cataloging, circulation and reference services.
They will also learn how to take part in library activities and events and help clients find and use information resources.
The students are expected to learn about the importance of teamwork, communication and customer service in a professional setting, MSU added.
“These soft skills are essential in any workplace, and the work immersion program at the University Library will provide the students with a unique opportunity to develop and hone them,” it said.
