MINDANAO STATE U SUSPENDS F2F CLASSES DUE TO EXTREME HEAT
THE MINDANAO State University-General Santos City suspended its face-to-face classes from March 27 to March 31 because of the rising temperature in the province.
“Upon the recommendation of the Academic Planning Committee and in consideration of the risks and threats of the extreme hot weather condition, ALL CLASSES on March 27-31, 2023 will be delivered ONLINE (Synchronous and Asynchronous Mode),” a memorandum issued by the university said.
“Faculty members may conduct their respective classes synchronously, asynchronously and/or combination of the two modes,” it added.
All student events and activities scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. will also be postponed.
College deans and senior high school directors will monitor the conduct of online classes and submit their reports.
The University Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Office and the Physical Plant Division were directed to inspect and monitor the classrooms and other facilities.
