MINDANAO STATE U-GEN SAN DECLARES ONE-WEEK MENTAL HEALTH BREAK
THE MINDANAO State University-General Santos declared a one-week mental health break to provide a breather to its community.
The break will be from May 4 to 10.
There will be no synchronous, asynchronous learning sessions and deadlines during the furlough.
“Pursuant to BOR Resolution No. 303, s. 2021, in order to promote the well-being of all academic constituents and provide ample time for rest and recuperation from any stress, and upon the recommendation of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, a Mental Wellness Week (Academic Break) shall be observed in the Campus on May 4-10, 2022,” the university said.
“It is understood that all faculty members are not allowed to conduct classes and give any academic-related tasks (synchronous and/or asynchronous),” it added.
The students lauded the decision, saying that it will allow them to recharge physically and mentally.
