A SCHOOL in Mati City, Davao Oriental was placed under lockdown after two students tested positive for Covid19.

The city’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office conducted disinfection work at the Matiao National High School after the two students tested positive and 16 others in one classroom had flu-like symptoms.

All of the school’s faculty as well as students are being monitored and placed under home quarantine.

The Mati Incident Management Team decided to lock down the school starting May 19.

Classes will resume once the Department of Education and Mati IMT have established that it is safe to do so.
