MARINDUQUE STATE COLLEGE WARNS PUBLIC VS INVESTMENT SCAMS
THE MARINDUQUE State College has warned its constituents against fraudulent investment schemes as offers of investment opportunities surged.
On an audio-visual presentation on Facebook, the Office of the President reminded those who get such offers to study the company that they will invest in before plunking down their hard-earned money.
Potential investors should verify the address, telephone number, and the company’s registration at the Security and Exchange Commission should be verified first to confirm the business’ legitimacy.
“We encourage you to watch and read the following informational material on ‘Paano Ma-Identify ang mga Investment Scam?’ This will help you identify the red flags common to fraudulent investment schemes,” MSC said.
“We advise that you stay vigilant and diligent in accepting investment opportunities. In these difficult times, we must equip ourselves with the knowledge to protect our money and the safety of our finances,” it added.
Those with concerns can reach out to the SEC’s Corporate Governance and Finance Department or Markets and Securities Regulation Department, it said.
