MARINDUQUE STATE COLLEGE RECEIVES PHILIPPINE QUALITY AWARD
THE MARINDUQUE State College received the coveted Philippine Quality Award given to the country’s outstanding organizational performance.
President Diosdado Zulueta made the announcement as the school became the first-ever state college to receive the award among the 11 state universities and colleges in Region IV-A and IV-B, respectively.
The award will be presented to MSC during a PQA Conferment Ceremony scheduled later this month.
Last January 13, the Office of the President approved the award, given in recognition of MSC’s dedication to quality management during the 24th Philippine Quality Award Assessment Cycle.
The award is comparable to the highly-regarded Baldrige Performance Excellence Program in the US as well as other National Quality Awards around the country.
It was established by former President Fidel V. Ramos through Executive Order No. 448 on October 3, 1997, and is granted to private and public sector enterprises that excel in quality, productivity, and business performance.
