MARINDUQUE STATE COLLEGE GETS ETHANOL DISTILLER

/ 12 December 2020

THE MARINDUQUE State College has received the Bioethanol distiller donated by the Ilocos Norte-based Mariano Marcos State University.

The unit arrived on December 9.

The delivery of the distiller is part of the Commission on Higher Education’s project to help curb the spread of Covid19.

A bio-ethanol distiller is used to create disinfecting alcohol and fuel.

The MSC said that the distiller will also help provide livelihood to the sap farmers of the province whose produce will be the main component for the distillation.

“For the long term, the distiller is also expected to provide an additional source of alternative fuel while providing livelihood to those who will supply the sap from nipa and coconuts,” MSC said on Facebook.
